Where can I get my security update for Razer Blade system?
Razer is aware of the vulnerabilities discovered by external researchers on some of the Intel microprocessors installed in our Razer Blade laptop line. We are closely collaborating with Intel to address potential vulnerabilities before they can even be exploited.

 

As part of our commitment to customers, Razer's engineers are working with Intel to address these issues with firmware updaters. You may refer to the table below to see if your specific Razer Blade model is affected and where to get its corresponding updater.

My system has encountered a BSOD (Blue Screen) with the stopcode VIDEO TDR FAILURE (NVLDDMKM.SYS). What should I do?

We have released a new NVIDIA graphics driver (v431.65) to address the BSOD issue that some users have faced with their Blades. You can download the new driver via this link. Once the download is complete, extract the zip file to the destination folder of your choice.

Install the NVIDIA DCH driver by opening the "P30448_DC" folder, run "setup.exe", and follow the on-screen instructions. If you wish to install the GeForce Experience companion application, open the "P30448_WIN32UX" folder, run "setup.exe" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note: This fix will work if you are running your Blade with Windows 1803 or later versions.

Will I overcharge my battery if I leave it plugged in even when it is at 100%?
The Razer Blade series uses a lithium-ion (Li-On) polymer battery. Though this is not exactly a Windows feature, overcharging Li-ion batteries is not a problem and does not affect the battery life span. The Blade laptops have an internal circuit to stop charging at full charge to avoid overcharging, and will only start re-charging when the battery hits 95%.

To enhance the user experience, drivers for your Razer laptop are available through Windows Updates. The Razer Blade 15 (2018) Base Model features RGB lighting powered by Razer Chroma. Single-zone means that only one of the 16.8 million colors can be selected at a single time. Users can choose a static color or cycle through the range of colors using Razer Synapse 3. The Advanced Model of the Razer Blade 15 (2018) features per key RGB lighting powered by Razer Chroma. This allows for each key to have its own light setting, also opening up motion based and reactive effects.
