How do I clean my Razer headset?
We cannot say with certainty what type of dirt and debris may be on your product, or how certain cleaning products may react with it, but we have had good luck cleaning Razer products using commonly available monitor cleaning wipes. To clean the body of your Razer headset please take a monitor wipe and use gentle wiping motions. Do not scrub the surface of your Razer headset.

When cleaning the earpads on your headset, take extra care to not get any liquids inside the earcup and onto the speaker itself, as this may damage your headset.

My Razer headset is out of warranty. Is there any way it can be repaired?
Razer products are designed to work well beyond when the warranty has expired. However, If you feel your headset is having issues we first suggest trying the headset on another computer/source to insure the issue is with the headset and not something within the computer system or source. If you have narrowed the issue to the headset itself there is not really a cost effective repair center that would be able to assist you. Razer does make available some basic external spare parts at , but we are unable to supply any internal parts or repair guides.
Can I use a portable media device player with the Razer Tiamat?
Yes. Any audio source that uses a standard 3.5mm jack will deliver audio through the Razer Tiamat headsets.
Do I need a sound card to use the Razer Tiamat 2.2?
No sound card is required to use the Razer Tiamat 2.2.  As long as your computer or device has a 3.5mm audio and microphone jack, it will fully work with the headset.
Do the Razer Tiamat headsets have a microphone?
Yes both the Razer Tiamat 2.2 and Razer Tiamat 7.1 headsets have a fully retractable, unidirectional boom microphone attached to the left ear cup.
How many drivers are in the Razer Tiamat headsets?
The Razer Tiamat 2.2 is a stereo headset with double the bass power from 2 bass additional drivers tuned specifically for bass over the 2 stereo audio drivers to deliver powerful stereo sound. The Razer Tiamat 2.2 is not a surround sound headset.
Is the the Razer Tiamat 2.2 headset analog or digital?
The Razer Tiamat 2.2 is an analog headset that comes with two 3.5mm audio cables for the following channels: Line-In (green), and Microphone Out (pink).

What is the difference between 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound?
5.1 surround sound consists of a center, left, right, side left surround, side right surround and the subwoofer channel.

7.1 surround sound consists of center, left, right, side left surround, side right surround, surround back left, surround back right, and the subwoofer channel.

What kind of ear cushions do the Razer Tiamat headsets use?
The Razer Tiamat headsets are designed with circumaural leatherette ear cushions for maximum comfort. It also has a memory foam that conforms perfectly to your ears for a snug fit.
What type of drivers are in the Razer Tiamat headsets?
The Razer Tiamat 7.1 (per ear cup) is compised of 1) a full range 40mm drivers with neodymium magnets and a Titanium coated diaphragm for bass; and 2) a full range 30mm drivers with neodymium magnets for front and center.
Where do I download the software drivers for my new Razer Tiamat?
The Razer Tiamat headset is an analog headset and does not require software drivers of any kind.  The USB plug on the Razer Tiamat 7.1 version  is solely used to power the control assembly.

How do I change the language of Configurator?
The language selection is based on the driver version installed on the computer.  There is no option in the Customizer.  To correct this issue, uninstall the software and download the appropriate drivers from here.

What are some examples of a “Proof of Purchase” to provide when initiating an RMA?
A valid proof of purchase is defined as a dated sales receipt from an authorized Razer Reseller. The receipt must show the product description and price. Invoice slips and e-mail order confirmations can be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Why does Razer require a proof of purchase?
Razer must verify that the product is within the specified warranty period and that it was purchased from an authorized reseller. Products purchased from unauthorized dealers are often used, counterfeit, re-boxed, defective or gray market goods. These units may also not be designed and packaged to work in your country and may not meet all legal and safety requirements.  Razer will not be able to honor a warranty on products purchased from an unauthorized dealer or that are out of the warranty period.  If you purchased product from an unauthorized reseller, all support and warranty issues should be directed to that reseller.
