Are the Razer Thresher Ultimate for PS4 headset and audio hub pre-paired?

Yes. They are pre-paired out-of-box for your convenience to use them right away. Simply turn on both devices and they will be connected automatically.

My Razer headset is out of warranty. Is there any way it can be repaired?

Razer products are designed to work well beyond when the warranty has expired. However, if you feel your headset is having issues we suggest trying the headset on another computer or source to ensure the issue is with the headset and not something within the computer system or source. If you have narrowed the issue to the headset itself, there is not really a cost-effective repair center that would be able to assist you. Razer does make available some basic external spare parts but we are unable to supply any internal parts or repair guides.

Why am I unable to hear my game audio on PS4 while using my Razer Thresher Ultimate?

You might have configured the PS4 settings incorrectly. Simply follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices.
  2. Ensure "Razer Thresher Ultimate for PS4" is selected as the Input Device and Output Device.
  3. On the output to Headphones, select “Chat Audio”.

How do I make the Razer Thresher Ultimate for PS4’s speaker and microphone loud enough?

  1. Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices.
  2. Ensure that the "Volume Control (Headphones)" is at maximum.
  3. Ensure that the "Adjust Microphone Level" is at maximum.

Why is my Razer Thresher Ultimate headset not connecting with the audio hub even though the LED is blinking?

You might have pressed the “ON” button for too long which might have caused the headset or audio hub to go into pairing mode. Simply follow the steps below:

  1. Turn off the power of both the headset and audio hub.
  2. Press the audio hub power button to turn it on again. The LED indicator will start to blink slowly.
  3. Turn on the headset and let go of the power button when you hear a tone, the LED indicator is lit, or when the Razer logo starts blinking slowly.
  4. Once the two devices are successfully connected, the LED lights of the headset and audio hub will become steady.

My headset and transmitter are connected but I cannot hear audio through the headset on PS4. What do I do?

If you cannot hear audio through the headset even though the headset and audio hub are connected, make sure the optical cable is plugged securely from the optical input on the back of the audio hub to the optical output on the back of your PS4. Please also make sure that the sound settings are configured correctly by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Settings > Sound and Screen > Audio Output Settings.
  2. Select “Digital Out (OPTICAL)”, and then select “Dolby Digital 5.1ch only”.

How do I clean my Razer Thresher Ultimate for PS4 headset?

We cannot say with certainty what type of dirt and debris may be on your product, or how certain cleaning products may react with it, but we have had good luck cleaning Razer products using commonly available monitor cleaning wipes.

  • To clean the body of your Razer headset, gently wipe it with a monitor wipe.
  • Do not scrub the surface of your Razer headset.
  • When cleaning the earpads, make sure that the earcup and speaker do not get wet, as this can cause damage to your headset.
