Common Questions

What does a tilt-click scroll wheel on the Razer Mouse do?

Aside from the standard scrolling and middle mouse button, a tilt-click scroll wheel gives you two additional mouse buttons: left-tilt and right-tilt clicks.
Note: Check the specifications of your mouse to confirm if your mouse includes this feature.

How do I fix my Razer mouse that doesn't work on my multi-colored mouse pad?

This is a common issue for Razer mice with the calibration feature which is designed to function on a surface with a certain level of uniformity across. You can either switch off the calibration feature or change to a non-multi-colored mouse pad. You can check our mouse mats here.

Please check your mouse spec to know if it has the calibration feature and if the issue persists, please contact our Online Chat Support.

How do I fix a Razer mouse that is not responding and requires to be replugged to work during startup?

The mouse is motherboard dependent. Check the power savings settings and disable it. Also, check the USB speed settings and set it to Full or Low-speed settings.

Why do all my mouse clicks seem to be in the center of the screen?

This is the expected behavior with some games particularly first-person shooter (FPS) games that lock the mouse pointer in the center of the screen. This may result in all clicks getting registered at the center of the screen. If you believe this behavior is unexpected for a certain game, you may send us feedback through Razer Synapse or Contact Support.

How does Razer measure the polling rate (Ultrapolling) and response rates of their mice?

Razer uses digital scopes and USB analyzers connected directly to the motherboard to obtain real and accurate measurements of polling rates.

I cannot find my Razer mouse in Windows device manager under "mice and other pointing devices". Where can I find it?

Razer mice are typically not listed under the "Mice and other Pointing Devices" section of the Windows Device Manager. Instead, they are listed on the "Human Interface Devices".

My Razer mouse will not work properly with a KVM Switch.

We recommend plugging your Razer mouse directly into your computer. Keyboard, Video, and Mouse or KVM switches are known to cause interruptions in communications between devices and systems. If your Razer mouse works when plugged directly into the computer, then it is working correctly and the issue is most likely due to the KVM switch.
